So, Standard Poodles don’t fit most regular dog clothes due to having super long, narrow, and sometimes thin bodies. I wanted to make a costume for my Poodle Olive for Halloween, but: 1. I couldn’t find something for her body type & 2. I couldn’t find a large dog unicorn costume. I’m basically a crochet newbie, with only several amigurumi projects under my belt. I’d never made a garment of any kind, and didn’t know where to start, so her costume could definitely be better, but I’m really proud of myself and can’t wait to compare what I make for her at Halloween time next year! This costume is composed of 3 parts: a snood that I made to hold down all of her super poofy hair in order to put the unicorn hood on her, a tie on hood, and a Capelet. We even won a pet costume contest!
