I had a bunch of yarn that I needed to use, so I decided to weave a rug. This form of weaving is called Scandinavian Rya. It is where you take individual pieces of yarn (as long as you want them) and tie each individual piece of yarn around the warp strings in your loom. My rug is a little more than 2 feet wide and 9 feet long. There are about 16, 632 pieces of yarn that I tied to make this rug. Kept me busy this winter.
